WHO WE ARE:

The membership of the Capital Area Veterinary Medical Association is primarily composed of Doctors of Veterinary Medicine who agree to follow the CAVMA bylaws and have paid the full amount of yearly dues. We also welcome non-veterinary para-professionals as affiliate members who are sponsored by a current veterinary member.

DUES:

Dues are $55 per calendar year (January through December)  for all categories of membership.
Membership in the Capital Area Veterinary Medical Association must be renewed annually.

With the exception of New Veterinary Graduates, we do not offer prorated membership.

New Veterinary Graduates who apply for membership are not charged dues for the remainder of the calendar year of their graduation.

This level of dues is made possible through sponsorship of our monthly meetings. Please visit the upcoming meetings page to view the sponsors for each meeting.

Payment of dues for each will establish your membership and is required to receive CE credit for meetings attended.

VETERINARY SUPPORT AND WELLNESS:

We Want to Help.

Our association recognizes the importance of balancing wellness and self-compassion with the demands of our rewarding yet often stressful veterinary profession.

Please visit the Support and Wellness page of this menu for direct links to sources of various levels of support.
From wellness to suicide, from the need for personal, immediate help to the tools and training to help others, HELP IS AVAILABLE, please reach out.

These supportive resources are available as a service to all in the veterinary profession, doctors and staff, and do not require membership in TVMA, AVMA or VIN.
